Project

Center for Adult English Language Acquisition (CAELA) Network

The CAELA Network project was funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE), U.S. Department of Education to provide assistance to professional developers, teachers, administrators, and others who work with adult English language learners.

CAL operated this national technical assistance network to support programs and practitioners working with adult English language learners and to build state capacity to provide high-quality professional development for these practitioners.

The CAELA Network provided information and resources focusing on high quality professional development for educators working with adult English language learners and makes research findings and evidence-based resources available to practitioners across the nation that work with this population.

The CAELA Network built on CAL’s decades of providing assistance to practitioners working with adult English language learners. Visit the CAELA project page to learn more
