Yu Lan is responsible for leading and conducting psychometric analyses for the WIDA ACCESS and Best projects in conducting psychometric analyses related to test construction, validity, reliability, equating, and scoring; preparing technical reports; developing, maintaining, and applying quality control procedures; providing quantitative guidance to professional research staff at CAL; and coordinating external quantitative resources on behalf of the organization.
Yu Lan has a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the National Taiwan Normal University and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Psychological & Quantitative Foundations from the University of Iowa. Before joining CAL, she was a psychometrician at Ascend Learning and a senior research scientist at ACT. Yu Lan came to CAL with a broad range of experiences in various high-stakes assessment projects, including the ACT, medical college admission test, graduate management admission test, K-12 assessments, and certifications and learning exams. Yu Lan’s experience in assessment development, psychometric, and statistical analyses is invaluable in meeting departmental goals and objectives.
