Rebecca Pred-Sosa is a Test Development Manager at the Center for Applied Linguistics. She contributes to test development activities across all four language domains for the ACCESS for ELLs English proficiency assessment and works mainly on development of testing materials for the upper grade levels.

Rebecca first came to CAL in 2015 as a Customer Support Assistant and later as a Research Assistant for the Language Assessment Division. Before joining CAL she worked as a Partner Training Coordinator for the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, DC and taught English in Miacatlán, Mexico. She has also worked previously as an item writer for Educational Testing Service and Berlitz.  She holds a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Linguistics from Grinnell College. She enjoys graphic novels, Broadway musicals, and crossword puzzles.
