Rachel Myers joined CAL in 2020. They are a Senior Research Assistant in CAL’s Language Assessment and Instructional Research (LAIR) Division, where they contribute to projects in the areas of world language education, K-12 EFL assessment, and adult EFL assessment. They have conducted quantitative research about state-level educational standards, students with limited or interrupted formal education (SLIFE), and world language administration models. They are also on the development team for BEST Plus 3.0 and BEST Literacy 2.0, and have helped develop instructional materials for teachers and learners of critical world languages for the STARTALK program. Previously, Rachel worked on the Psychometrics and Quantitative Research team, contributing to technical reports on the ACCESS for ELLs K-12 assessment.
Rachel holds a M.S. in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University, where they specialized in language assessment. They are from Massachusetts.
