CAL English Proficiency Test for Teachers
The CAL English Proficiency Test for Teachers (CAL EPT Teachers) measures the English language proficiency of nonnative English-speaking teachers in four skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). An informative score report summarizes the examinee’s skills according to CEFR proficiency levels and provides further information to meet employment certification, funding, and reporting requirements. The test measures students’ English language ability in four skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking). Depending on the needs of schools and their students, the CAL EPT Student is available in two formats, the CAL EPT for Students: 4 Skills and the CAL EPT for Students: Listening and Reading. An informative score report summarizes the examinee’s skills according to CEFR proficiency levels and provides further information needed to meet funding and reporting requirements. CAL English Proficiency Test: Diagnostic for Students
The CAL English Proficiency Test: Diagnostic for Students (CAL EPT Diagnostic) measures the English language proficiency of English language learners at two levels: primary school and secondary school. This test measures the students’ ability in three skill areas: listening, reading, and writing. This quick diagnostic instrument provides results so that states, schools, and families can (1) better understand how students are improving their English language proficiency, (2) determine whether students should take a more comprehensive exam, such as the CAL EPT Students, and (3) better plan for ongoing language study. The CAL EPT Diagnostic is available through CAL’s sales and test operations partners in Latin America.
