The Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) is pleased to announce upcoming opportunities for educators to be a part of the development of WIDA ACCESS. Educators are invited to serve as Standards Experts for WIDA ACCESS test items.
Who can participate?
Any educator who has experience working with students in grades 1–12 in a WIDA-member state during the previous two years is invited to apply. We are looking to recruit a group of educators who will bring a diverse mix of content and instructional expertise to this task, including:
- Classroom teachers
- Content area teachers
- English language teachers
- Special education teachers
- Instructional coaches/specialists
What will educators do?
- Complete a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
- Watch a tutorial video to understand how to review draft test items.
- Review sets of test items for grade-level appropriateness of the language and content and enter feedback into an electronic questionnaire (asynchronous work).
- Receive $30 compensation for each set of test items reviewed.
I’m interested! What should I do?
