In May, Dr. Gene Garcia, chair of the Board of Trustees, presented proclamations of appreciation to past Board of Trustees from their leadership and commitment to CAL’s mission:
“Dr. Fred Genesee, Dr. Linda Harklau, Ms. Naomi Silverman, Dr. Sandy McKay, and Dr. Yong Zhao have provided key leadership and support to the Center for Applied Linguistics during a significant period of the organization’s history; and, during their tenure engaged Board of Trustee members, organizational leaders, and colleagues and staff in ways that have sustained the organization’s well-being with a continued focus on its mission.”
