BEST Plus 3.0 Test Administrator Training

BEST Plus 3.0 begins with training to ensure accurate use and scoring of the test. All administrators are required to complete test administrator training before they may begin administering and scoring BEST Plus 3.0.

Users of BEST Plus 3.0 must thoroughly review the BEST Plus 3.0 Test Administrator Guide to become familiar with the testing and scoring procedures.

Goals of BEST Plus 3.0 Training

To ensure the accurate use and scoring of BEST Plus 3.0, all potential test administrators are required to complete CAL-approved training as well as read through the BEST Plus 3.0 Test Administrator Guide to become thoroughly familiar with the assessment. Upon completion of BEST Plus 3.0 training, participants will be able to:

• Administer and score the BEST Plus 3.0 test using the computer-based version or the print-based version as appropriate, and
• Interpret BEST Plus 3.0 scores.

BEST Plus 3.0 Training Options

All prospective test administrators must obtain a CAL-issued certificate to administer and score BEST Plus 3.0. There are two training options available: (1) completing the BEST Plus 3.0 Test Administrator Training Course (Option 1) or (2) Attending a workshop conducted by the CAL-approved BEST Plus 3.0 trainer (Option 2).
