WASHINGTON, DC, Feb. 22–Today, the Center for Applied Linguistics announced that Dr. Micheline Chalhoub-Deville will receive the 2022 Charles A. Ferguson Award for Outstanding Scholarship. She will be presented the award at an online event on March 24.
“We are so pleased to present the 2022 Ferguson Award for Outstanding Scholarship to Dr. Micheline Chalhoub-Deville,” said Dr. Shirley Brice Heath. “There are people who, by their very nature, are destined to make an impact on the world, and we felt that Dr. Chalhoub-Deville embodied that rare combination of outstanding scholarship, superior leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaborations among a wide range of people to enrich the world around them. We are also excited that this year’s awardee works in testing, an area previously not as awarded as other fields of applied linguistics.”
