The Center for Applied Linguistics, in collaboration with the College of Education, University of Maryland College Park, provided a special array of professional development workshops to a cohort of secondary school English teachers from Suzhou, China from 2013 to 2015. The PD topics include second language reading and writing, language assessment, content-based instruction, and English as a global language.
