As Project Manager, Kristine Nugent has led CAL’s work on projects including Massachusetts ELPAC (English Language Parent Advisory Council) online courses for educators and parents, as well as BEST Plus 3.0, an assessment for adult English learners in the US. In her previous role at CAL, she worked on ACCESS for ELLs. Kristine was a Fulbright Fellow in Ukraine in 2018-2019 where she was affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Prior to that, she was an English Language Fellow in Luhansk, Ukraine and taught English in Lviv, Ukraine. She has conducted teacher training workshops in diverse settings and has taught learners of varied ages and backgrounds. Kristine holds a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from the University of Notre Dame.
