Why N.J. Students Dominate the U.S. in Learning Foreign Languages

More than half of K-12 students in New Jersey are learning a world language, ranking it highest among US states, according to a recent report. The District of Columbia and Wisconsin take the second and third spots on the list, while the national average is just 20% of students studying a foreign language.
