Speakers of Two Dialects May Share Cognitive Advantage with Speakers of Two Languages

Students who speak two dialects of the same language may share the same cognitive benefits as students who speak more than one language, research finds. For the study, linguists compared the students who grew up speaking Cypriot Greek and standard Greek with students who were monolingual and multilingual.
