This presentation will provide teachers with tools to adapt the language of teacher-created assessments in the dual language classroom. Presenters will guide teachers through the process of analyzing the language demands of various assessment formats. Ideas for designing assessment items that contain language supports for emergent bilinguals will be provided and examples of adapted assessments in both English and Spanish, at various grade levels, will be shared.
