Every state in Mexico encounters specific opportunities and challenges in the teaching and learning of English. This panel will provide perspectives from three states’ implementation of English teaching: Baja California Sur, Chihuahua and Yucatan. Each state director will share opportunities and challenges that they have faced in the realization of the English curriculum. These challenges include instructor preparation, materials availability, curriculum articulation, assessment and student motivation. Dr. Arias will provide commentary on the state directors’ presentations.
