This poster describes results of a study investigating learning outcomes of language instructors enrolled in an online course on the basics of assessment. By contributing to the growing body of research on language instructors’ knowledge about and experiences with assessment, it is hoped that study findings will shed light on ways in which assessment training for language instructors can be improved. This poster presents quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey responses (N=35) to examine the effects of the online course on growth of assessment literacy. Results are used to make recommendations for future assessment education and support for language instructors.
