Community-Based Heritage Language Schools Conference 2017

Community-Based Heritage Language Schools Conference: Promoting Collaboration and Advocacy Among Educators, Families, and Researchers
Organized by the AU School of Education and AU TESOL Program
Co-sponsored by the Center for Applied Linguistics

The goal of this annual conference is to connect community-based language schools and to discuss and address common challenges together.

This year's conference brings together language leaders, language advocates, and program administrators involved in community-based schools, along with language researchers and educators in other bilingual programs, to explore ways to keep addressing these issues together.

The conference will feature presentations by leaders in the field of heritage language education who will share best practices and lead discussions to help us collaboratively seek effective solutions to common challenges.

Keynote Address
Dr. Guadalupe Valdez, Bonnie Katz Tenenbaum Professor of Education at Stanford University, Graduate School of Education will deliver the keynote address.
